Recently, the Nevada oversight committee voted to start a public fundraiser to collect money to build a stadium in Las Vegas. This stadium, if built, will be the home to the Raiders as of right now. That means there will no longer be an Oakland football team. This also follows the news of an NHL team being placed in Las Vegas starting in the 20117-18 season. There have been people already willing to help fund the team, including the Oakland Raiders themselves. If the supposed funding goes through there will be a team very soon. The Raiders said they will contribute $500 million and the Alderson family plans to contribute $650 million. The goal is to raise at least $750 million. Once they commit their money we will have an NFL team in Las Vegas.

I do not think there will be a gambling problem with professional teams in Las Vegas. I do however think that more people may bet on the team to win if they are money rolled by casinos and investors near the area. However, this does not cause a gambling problem because as more people bet on one team others will be bet on less keeping the amount bet close to the same.
